September is Hunger Action Month
Posted 9/9/19

Volcano Vista Community – “September is Hunger Action Month!!  Did you know that in New Mexico, 1 in 4 children struggle with hunger.  High poverty rates in our communities leave many struggling to afford all their food needs. But the good news is we can solve hunger one helping at a time.” (~Roadrunner Food Bank of NM)

At Volcano Vista, if every student brought in just one food item, we could collect over 2,300 items of food.  Ms. Mow’s Community Service classes are sponsoring a Baby Food Drive to benefit our local food pantry’s and shelters.  Bring unopened, unexpired baby cereal, baby food and baby formula to our donation boxes located in the Main office, and A and H hall offices.  Be a partner in supporting our Albuquerque community!
